This is Lake Sambarh, located to the North of the City of Ajmer in the Indian State of Rajastan, bordering the State of Gujarat.
Because the similarity of the two names, is possible that an old river entering the lake was called “Sambatyon” like the river mentioned in the Talmud as place of origin of the Ten Lost Tribes. (See the paper on the Talmud reference section).
In this part of India there is also the “Sabarmati River”.
